Condition: Stunning Vintage 1980s Chinese Porcelain Tea Service -- This is a beautiful, complete set featuring the traditional Red Dragon and Phoenix motif, symbolizing harmony and success. This set is a high-quality example from the 1980s export era, characterized by its vibrant colors and heavy gold accents. Condition Details -- Structurally Perfect: No chips, cracks or repairs on any piece. Raised Gold Enamel: The gold detailing is hand-applied and has a wonderful tactile, raised texture (moriage) that catches the light beautifully. Authentic Character: Minor pepper flakes (tiny carbon spots) inside one cup and a small raised kiln spot on the tray--both are original manufacturing characteristics from the firing process and not damage. Two of the cups have "glaze pull" spots close to the rim. Vintage Wear: Very minor "honest" rubbing on the gold corner of the tray, consistent with age and careful handling.
