View Antique/Vtg SERVING BOWL w STRAINER INSERT Vienna Austria Shield & Crown with current marketplace pricing, condition, product images and item details. It is stamped on the bottom with what looks like a crown and 2 shields, and what may be 'Wien, Austria.'. The white porcelain bowl is decorated on 4 sides with a transfer motif of roses, daisies and leaves in pink, green, brown and white. Antique Austria PORCELAIN SERVING BOWL with STRAINER Insert ~ Strawberries, Berries, Fruit, Butter  This vintage footed bowl dates from the late Nineteenth to early Twentieth Century. It is stamped* on the bottom with what looks like a crown and 2 shields, and what may be 'Wien, Austria.' The white porcelain bowl is decorated on 4 sides with a transfer motif of roses, daisies and leaves in pink, green, brown and white. I believe this is meant to be a berry or fruit bowl, since it has its own 'strainer' or liner with perforations, to keep the washed  fruit above water or ice. (But it may have been used for butter.) It measures approximately 6 inches in diameter across the top and 3 inches high. The porcelain insert is 4½ inches in diameter. It is pre-owned, in good condition, with no visible chips or cracks. "The Vienna Austria mark with double shield and crown is usually associated with the PH Leonard Company, circa 1890-1908, an importer from New York City.
