The pennant's tip is intact! &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;>Offered here is an old and original &nbsp; 1960-1969 A.F.L. NEW YORK JETS &nbsp;football pennant !! &nbsp;Please see all eight &nbsp;photos as they are an important part of my description.&nbsp;This &nbsp; full-sized&nbsp;vintage football pennant for the New York Jets &nbsp;measures approximately 29" x 11" and&nbsp;features soft and supple felt with&nbsp;silk-screened graphics and lettering along with a green strip of felt along the left edge accompanied by four (4) soft felt tassels (I often see this same pennant missing the tassels). This vintage pennant features the old/original&nbsp; New York Jets logo. The pennant also features the American Football League (AFL) logo as well.&nbsp;The Jets &nbsp; played at now-razed Shea Stadium in Queens, New York. The offered pennant was issued before the AFL-NFL merger in 1970; exact year is unknown. Players such as Don Maynard, George Sauer Jr., Matt Snell, Emerson Boozer, Al Atkinson and Joe Namath were members of the team during this era, who eventually led them to Super Bowl III. There, they shocked the heavily favored Baltimore Colts in 1969 with the two leagues merging shortly thereafter. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<> Condition: &nbsp;the pennant is far from mint. It's dingy overall, with some purplish staining in lower/left corner and on the pennant's reverse (see pics). The good news? The screened-on lettering and graphics remains strong! The pennant's tip is intact!
