Vintage Italian Design Piroges porcelain candy dish / basket centerpiece featuring a beautiful cobalt blue and gold decorative design with a romantic Fragonard-style scene. The piece measures approximately 11.5" wide and 8.5" tall and has an elegant handled basket form. Marked on the underside “ITALIAN DESIGN” and “Linoges.” CONDITION: Good vintage condition with no cracks. There are some small areas of wear to the gold finish, including light rubbing on the decorative edges and handle. Some of the small white dot decorations on the cobalt blue background are partially worn or missing. There are also minor signs of age and previous use to the painted and gilt decoration, as shown in the photos. The porcelain structure remains solid and intact.
