A striking large-scale Italian majolica serving platter molded as a veined leaf, glazed in a rich ombré from deep forest green at the edges to soft chartreuse at the center. The scalloped, undulating rim and pierced curled-vine handle show fine mold detail typical of mid-20th-century Italian majolica production. The reverse is finished in cream glaze with an attractive heavy crackle, stamped "ITALY," and bears hand-inscribed inventory numbers ("8573 MR") from a prior collection — nice added provenance texture. Measures 16"L x 11"W x 3"D. No chips or cracks noted; fine crazing throughout the glaze, consistent with age (shown in photos).
