Beautiful vintage handmade silver necklace featuring striking blue enamel work and an old-fashioned snake-style chain. The necklace has the character and workmanship of an older, individually made piece rather than modern mass-produced jewelry. It is finished with a traditional spring-ring clasp. The necklace is not marked for silver content, so I took it to a jeweler for testing. The jeweler confirmed that it is genuine silver, testing at approximately .800 (80% silver), rather than modern .925 sterling silver.
