Colors:  Rich cobalt blue, iron-red (persimmon), white, and gold accents. Scalloped (foliate/barbed) rim with gilt edge. Broad border in the classic Imari palette: iron-red ground with scattered white/pink prunus or chrysanthemum-style flowers and gilt scrolls, alternating with dark cobalt-blue panels containing floral sprigs in white reserves. Interior divided into radiating wedge-shaped panels (like a pinwheel or fan layout) containing: Landscapes with mountains, trees, and pavilions Floral sprays (chrysanthemum, peony, plum blossoms) Gold lattice/diaper (geometric) patterns Small central medallion with a stylized floral motif in red, gold, and black. This combination of underglaze blue, overglaze iron-red, green, pink, and heavy gilding is the hallmark Imari color scheme that originated in Arita, Japan, in the late 17th century and was widely copied thereafter. Shirokiya  was a historic Japanese department store (originating as a kimono shop in 1662 and later operating as a major department store until merging with Tokyu in the mid-20th century) that frequently sold traditional Japanese crafts, ceramics, and export porcelain.
