This striking vintage sterling silver and black onyx ring from the 1970s-1980s was made by the historic Wheeler Manufacturing Company of Lemmon, South Dakota . DESIGN Gemstone: The ring features a central large, elongated oval, glossy black onyx cabochon beautifully highlighted by the sterling silver setting. Setting: The traditional Southwestern-style sawtooth bezel is encircled by a beautifully oxidized, machine-stamped twisted rope border. Framing the gemstone mount is a split shank decorated with three graduated silver raindrop beads on each side. Framework: The reverse features an open-back framework typical of mid-to-late 20th-century production pieces.
