Offered here is a huge estate collection of more than 100 vintage souvenir and collector spoons, assembled over many years of travel and collecting. This is a wonderfully varied group with spoons representing destinations, attractions, states, provinces, countries, commemorative events and popular culture. The collection includes pieces from throughout Canada and the United States as well as international destinations, with numerous colorful enamel crests, shields and scenic emblems. I can see Canadian destinations including Ontario, Quebec, Alberta, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, Niagara, Calgary, Ottawa and the Thousand Islands, along with U.S. destinations and states including Florida, Alaska, Vermont, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and others. There are also some especially fun pieces mixed throughout, including Mickey Mouse and Disneyland, a Walt Disney World-style piece, Canadian and American flag designs, royal commemorative portraits, floral enamel, religious imagery, architectural landmarks, figural handles, twisted stems and several unusual older designs. The spoons vary considerably in age, style, size and construction. Most are approximately 4–6 inches long, with a few larger and smaller examples. The entire grouping spans roughly 24" when arranged as shown. This is an untested mixed-metal collection. I have not individually researched the maker or metal content of every spoon, so I am selling the grouping together as a vintage souvenir spoon collection. Condition varies from spoon to spoon, as expected from a large collection assembled over time. Some remain bright and clean while others have tarnish, oxidation, discoloration, surface wear, scratches and age-related patina. Several of the older pieces have particularly attractive darkened surfaces. Please expect normal variation throughout a collection of this size. This would be an excellent instant collection for a souvenir spoon collector, travel memorabilia collector, Disney collector, reseller or dealer, and there are enough different destinations and subjects here to spend quite a while researching them individually. What I especially like about a collection like this is that it becomes a miniature record of decades of travel, each spoon originally chosen because somebody wanted to bring a little piece of a place home with them.
