This is a stunning large decanter which is called a Genie Bottle and made in Italy by Empoli. This was purchased in Italy by a precious little lady who will soon turn 100. She brought home a fabulous piece of Italian glass from every trip. Take a look at my other auctions to see some spectacular pieces from her collection. This piece stands 18 inches tall with the stopper in place. The glass bottle and stopper are both in mint condition: free of any chips, cracks, scratches or repairs. If you will look at the last 3 photos, you can see some residue inside the bottle. I did not rinse it out or clean it. It generally takes a long time for it to completely dry. I assumed it would be sold at this price before it would dry. This bottle dates to the early 1960s and is a beautiful shade of purple / amethyst. I looked at many of these in this size with different styles, all made by Empoli, and they sold for $600 to $800. I am pricing this to sell today. It is just beautiful.
