Halverson Patents – Excellent Images (One lower corner chip on case) Pair of original ninth plate ambrotypes featuring two women, each preserved in excellent condition with crisp detail, sharp contrast, and no cracks, lifting, or deterioration. Both images present beautifully and retain the clarity and depth characteristic of high quality mid 19th century glass photography. The ambrotypes are housed in an original thermoplastic Union case marked inside with the patents of S. Peck and H. Halverson (assigned to Peck). These patent marked cases are highly collectible and represent some of the finest mid 19th century case manufacture. The case retains strong molded detail and excellent overall appearance, with only a single lower corner chip and one at the clasp (still fully functional) from normal age and handling.
