Classic Nanbu-style arare (hailstone) raised-dot pattern on the kettle, lid, and stand. This is a traditional Japanese iron kettle used for boiling water for tea. The matching stand is a tabletop warmer with a perforated grate so heat can rise under the pot. The set includes: • Cast iron kettle with swing handle and spout • Matching cast iron lid with knob • Warmer body • Perforated grate • Base plate Heavy, well-cast iron with the traditional textured finish. Foundry stamps on the underside (see photos). Condition: Vintage used, very nice condition. Exterior shows expected wear, small marks, and surface oxidation consistent with age and use.
