Beautiful Victorian breakfast tea coffee cup and saucer set by Carl Tielsch. Made in Germany mid-late 1800s. There are tiny, slightly rough pits on the inside bottom of the cup typical for aged porcelain. Beautiful Victorian breakfast tea coffee cup and saucer set by Carl Tielsch. Bright white porcelain decorated with blue flowers and light brown and gray leaves with gold gilting. Mark on bottoms are the blue underglaze eagle CT mark along with other incised marks and some numbers handwritten by the gilter. It is in good condition without any chips or cracks. Gold trim is worn in areas. There are tiny, slightly rough pits on the inside bottom of the cup typical for aged porcelain. Please look over photos carefully to more fully judge condition. Ruler measurements in photos. The cup holds a good 10 ounces. This is referred to as a breakfast cup and saucer set because it is bigger than a typical teacup and coffee cup from this time period, which were made larger for that "morning boost."
