At the time, Mrs. Tessa Lee was recognized as the only registered jade appraiser in Houston. Born into an aristocratic family in China, Mrs. Lee later emigrated to London, where she established a successful antique shop. Her discerning clientele included prominent movie stars, government officials, and other notable collectors before she eventually made her home in Houston. My husband and I have been passionate antique collectors for more than 50 years, with a particular appreciation for fine Asian art and jewelry. As we begin the process of downsizing our collection, I am pleased to offer this remarkable piece to a new owner who will cherish its beauty, craftsmanship, history, and exceptional provenance.
