No scratches or chips. The gilding is super great. The yellow is incredibly vibrant and a very happy color. These are almost like new, no issues. No cracks or chips. One of the most fun things about this set is they come with salad tongs. The tongs came with the set when I purchased the set. They are clear lucite with gold glitter molded into the plastic. The glitter can not come off, it is molded inside. There is the traditional fork and spoon tong set. They tongs make the set pop.
