In the Edo period, it was called Imari ware or Hizen ware. At the end of the 16th century, when Toyotomi Hideyoshi ordered troops to be sent to Korea, the Nabeshima clan, who was dispatched, brought back a Korean potter: Kane Sanbei (so-called Lee Sampei) and others.
