Provenance: From the Alexandria, Va. estate of a very old Japanese woman who moved here shortly after WWII. Description:   This item is what I believe to be a set of 10 a ntique Japanese  Urushi lacquerware  Owan bowls w/ lids. They are finished in black with deep red lacquer and include what I believe to be their original wood tomobaku storage box. Each bowl comes with a matching lid. These bowls are in good vintage condition, with some expected signs of age, minor scratches, and light wear. Two bowls and lids have slight damage ( They are ideal for collectors of antique Japanese tableware or fans of traditional Japanese lacquer craftsmanship.
