View Vintage, Original New York Herald Advertising Poster for April 18, 1897 issue with current marketplace pricing, condition, product images and item details. Original, vintage (not a repro) promotional poster advertising the Sunday, April 18th, 1897 edition of the New York Herald newspaper. Artist is unknown to me but the piece bears the initials “C.W.J.”. 19 ¼” X 12”. The poster is an example of late 19th-century American Art Nouveau advertising art. The piece has been professionally repaired and is mounted on linen. Well-repaired vertical fold at center, tiny piece of right corner missing.
