This long-bodied dachshund stands on all fours in a classic alert pose, with subtly modelled ears and a gently curled tail. Vintage Hull Pottery dachshund figurine, c. 1940s–1950s, finished in a deep glossy black glaze throughout. Hull Pottery, based in Crooksville, Ohio, produced a wide range of decorative ceramics during the mid-twentieth century. This long-bodied dachshund stands on all fours in a classic alert pose, with subtly modelled ears and a gently curled tail. The all-over black glaze has a mirror-bright finish; the underside is bare unglazed ceramic at the foot pads (period-correct for Hull production) with original green felt feet applied at the factory. The figurine is in good vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs noted. The black glaze remains rich and lustrous across all surfaces. Marked Hull on the underside.
