Vintage Japan Double-Strand Graduated Green Yellow Gold Bead Necklace Beautiful vintage double-strand necklace featuring graduated round beads in chartreuse yellow, pale mint/celadon green, iridescent green and metallic gold, accented with small faceted translucent green and seed-bead spacers. The shorter strand measures approximately 14 inches and the longer strand approximately 15.5 inches , plus a 3-inch extender , allowing the necklace to be adjusted to approximately 17 inches at the shorter strand . The longer strand falls approximately 1.5 inches below it. Gold-tone adjustable hook-style closure is clearly marked JAPAN . Based on the construction, findings and bead styles, the necklace appears consistent with mid-century Japanese costume jewelry, likely dating from approximately the 1950s–1960s . Larger beads appear to be plastic or similar synthetic material. Small faceted green accent beads may be glass. Materials have not been laboratory tested. Very good vintage condition overall with age-related wear, mottling and finish loss visible on some metallic-finish beads and components. No obvious missing beads noted.
