The HAND PAINTED decoration sits just under the rim - blue and purple blossoms with fine green leaves and trailing stems. It is painted, not printed, and the brushwork is visible in the close up photo. The iridescence on this piece is genuinely strong. Depending on the angle it runs pink, gold, green and lavender all at once, and the ribbed body breaks the light up so the whole basket shifts as you move around it. CONDITION: excellent. No chips, no cracks, no repairs. The cobalt crest is smooth and unbroken all the way around the ruffle, the handle is firmly attached at both ends, and the painted decoration is bright with no flaking or rubbing. ALSO INCLUDED, WITH AN HONEST CAVEAT ON EACH: - A FENTON BOX. I am including it and I have photographed it, but I am NOT certain it is the correct box for this particular basket. It may simply be a Fenton box that ended up with it. Treat it as a bonus, not as original packaging. - THE FENTON STICKER. It is included, but it has come OFF the glass - it is loose, not attached. I am not going to glue it back on and pretend otherwise. I would rather lose a few dollars saying that than have you open the parcel and feel misled. ONE PHOTO SHOWS THE BASKET IN MY HAND so you can judge the size properly, and another shows the underside. MEASUREMENTS: approximately 10 inches tall overall, 5 inches wide and 5 inches deep across the ruffled rim. Photographed from several angles.
