View Pre-Columbian Polychrome Seated Chief Mayan Pottery Ceremonial Cylinder with current marketplace pricing, condition, product images and item details. No cracks. Size is 5 in tall; 4.5 in wide at bulbous; 2.5 in bottom round rim; 2.5 in of top opening. This is a vintage/antique artifact. Pre-Columbian Mayan polychrome ceramic vessel with hand-painted figures of two chiefs in elaborate headdress surrounded by abstract scrollwork and ornamental bands - chiefs are in sitting positions.  Dated approximately from the Classic Period (c. 300-900 A.D.) Form &  Construction Globular, bulbous body standing on a short recessed foot. Hand formed from coarse earthenware buff. Intact with hand-painted sitting chief figures.  It is faded but still identifiable figures. No cracks.  Rim does have a few chippings.
