PUBL: Winsch This is a nice SET of EASTER Holiday postcards that are ANTIQUE from the early 1900s.  The postcards were all made with LINEN fronts.  These postcards are Flat Printed with GOLD and SILVER trim in the wording design that enhances their beauty.  They show: RABBITS, FLOWERS, RURAL SCENES, CROSS, SUNSETS, etc.  They are attractive postcards with good detail, which makes them s joy to look at. They were made by the publisher, John Winsch.   The publisher of these postcards is John Winsch (Stapleton, NY) who was very active during the 1907-1915 era, which is known as the “Golden Age of Postcards”.     Most of his work was “Printed in Germany” and issued in sets. He published almost exclusively greetings and holiday postcards. He is well regarded and considered one of the “most wanted publishers” by collectors.  He is known for using very good artists including Schmucker and Elliot.     Also, he is credited for developing NOVELTY postcards using silk threads, ribbons, beads, and silk textured fronts.     His postcards have set a high standard for other publishers to follow.     His material has very good value and is sought after by collectors.           These are good postcards to add to a collection. This is a hard set to find with so many postcards.  They are nicely made, and will appeal to collectors because of their age, their colorful nature, and the way they capture life back in the early 1900s. Overall, a nice selection of antique Easter postcards at a reasonable price.     The postcards are POSTED with cancel dates in the 1908-14 era.  These postcards would have been "Printed in Germany" during the "Golden Age of Postcards" (1908-1915 era). They have DIVIDED backs.
