Each earring features a large domed round translucent green art-glass cabochon with beautiful internal swirls and cloudy striations. The glass shifts from emerald/turquoise green depending upon the light and has wonderful depth when viewed from different angles. The cabochons are held in highly dimensional antiqued gold-tone settings formed with sculptural curling leaves or petals. The open-backed construction allows light to pass through the glass and enhances its luminous appearance. A striking example of mid-century costume jewelry with a much more elaborate setting than a standard cabochon clip earring.
