Beautiful matching pair of vintage Made in Japan ceramic vases featuring colorful raised-relief cherub/putti scenes. Each double-handled vase features three-dimensional cherub figures surrounded by green foliage and burgundy/red floral accents. Additional raised floral decoration, geometric bands and feather/leaf-like detailing extend around the pale blue, cream, yellow and brown glazed bodies. Both pieces are stamped “MADE IN JAPAN” on the underside. The aged crackle/crazing throughout the glaze gives these pieces wonderful vintage character. Please note that there are also a few small nicks/chips along the edges as shown in the photographs.
