Here it is worked onto porcelain in an engraved / inked technique (刻瓷), so the lines look like brushwork but are cut into the glaze and filled. That combination is uncommon on the Western market. No stand included. Vintage Chinese porcelain decorative plate with a standing beauty in traditional dress, done in a monochrome ink-painting style on bright white glaze. About 10 inches across. No stand included. The lady is shown in three-quarter view with a double bun, long robes, and a quiet expression. This kind of figure is usually seen on paper paintings. Here it is worked onto porcelain in an engraved / inked technique (刻瓷), so the lines look like brushwork but are cut into the glaze and filled. That combination is uncommon on the Western market. At left is a long inscription in running script with several red seals. Visible wording includes 大千弟張秀 and 永昌刻 , plus a cyclical date written as 癸辛四月 . In plain terms: the painter signed as Zhang Xiu, “junior in the tradition of Daqian,” and the plate is marked “engraved by Yongchang.” The text also refers to the Ming figure painter Wu Xiaoxian (Wu Wei). This is not a work by Zhang Daqian. 永昌刻 matches the name of Chen Yongchang, a known Beijing engraved-porcelain inheritor. His published pieces are usually signed with his full name and a Western year. This plate does not carry that exact published formula, so the link is possible, not proven. Late 20th century decorative work. Not Qing court porcelain and not a tourist decal plate.  Very high quality by a great artist. Condition: Used.
