For your purchasing consideration is this lovely Fostoria vintage, Art Deco “Cubist” lidded candy dish or sometimes known as a covered sweetmeat or trinket jar.   This striking candy dish is a three-dimensional interlocking cube design that predated the height of the Art Deco movement. Heavily faceted design was specifically engineered to capture and reflect light, giving relatively inexpensive pressed glass the brilliant, prismatic sparkle of high-end crystal. The matching snug-fitting dome lid is topped with a distinct, hexagonal or faceted knob handle.   Measuring 5.25” tall by 4.5” wide, this dish is in MINT condition. No chips, cracks, scratches, or repairs.   We are going through boxes from my parents (who never threw anything away).  This candy dish has been packed away for 30 years.  We are downsizing to a smaller home, and our kids are not interested.
