It measures about 1.8 inches in height, and has a nice solid weight to it. The Viking word Mjölnir means "Crusher", and was the name of the magical hammer wielded by Thor, the son of Odin. This pendant is inspired by that great weapon, and from actual jewelry, wood carvings and other artwork found on the isle of Gotland (Sweden) and other dig sites in Norway and Iceland. Included with this pendant is a 26 inch braided leather neck cord capped by silver pewter Wolf Heads which nicely hold the hammer in place. This isn't a cheap "made in China" article of jewelry.
