Do you have any kind of a guarantee? Since I'm not a jeweler (remember - Jewelry-holic) and the majority of my items are vintage, meaning old, I cannot offer a guarantee for breakage or lost stones. My sterling silver items are either signed 925 or equivalent and magnet tested.  I'm not a jeweler so I can't guarantee metal content. All diamonds are tested with a reliable Presidium II multitester.  No guarantees offered as to origin or authenticity of other stones. I will guarantee you that if you don't like it, you can return it, for any reason. Please see my return policy below. Does your sterling silver and gold jewelry tarnish? Oh yes, sterling silver is a precious metal and it will tarnish.  We call the tarnish "patina".  It will first get a golden glow, then turn brownish and finally (after many years) it will turn almost black.    Some people, like myself, enjoy the patina, if you want it to remain silver colored and shiny it will need cleaning and polishing from time to time. Gold is another precious metal, it doesn't tarnish as silver does, but it does darken with age and will need cleaning and polishing to keep it shiny. I ship every item in a heavy 4 ml plastic zip lock bag with an anti tarnish patch that will delay the process of tarnishing.   What's your return policy? You can return any item for any reason, with one exception -   a "lot of jewelry" is not returnable. My photos  do a decent job of showing you what you're getting but there's nothing like holding the real thing, and I want happy customers.  So, if you don't like it, simply click the "Return this item" on the Ebay listing in your purchase history within 14 days after your purchase date and start the return process.   You need to have it returned to me, (in the same condition it was when you received it) within 30 days after your purchase date and I will issue you a full refund for the price you paid for the item.  Sorry, but all shipping costs are on you regardless of the reason for return. Are your pieces solid sterling silver or sterling silver plated? My items are either signed 925, sterling or ster or they have been tested  with a rare earth magnet to determine, to the best of my ability, that they are 925 sterling silver.  Since I'm not a jeweler I can't guarantee metal content. Most sterling silver lobster clasps will stick to a magnet because they have a tiny steel spring inside them.  Clasp is sterling, steel spring sticks to magnet. I do sell some items that have a gold vermeil overlay over solid sterling silver and it will state that in the description.  I will occasionally sell some costume jewelry that isn't sterling silver and it will plainly state that in the listing.
