I bought this saw and found that the blade was no good. It's made from 1095 spring steel, 10 ppi cross cut, 18" long and cuts very well. The blade is not tapered but I found it unnecessary with a short thin blade. I bought this saw and found that the blade was no good. It really bugs me to through an old saw away so I made a new plate for it. It's made from 1095 spring steel, 10 ppi cross cut, 18" long and  cuts very well. The blade is not tapered but I found it unnecessary with a short thin blade. The saws I sell are jointed, sharpened and set. They also are cleaned and repairs made as needed. One thing to keep in mind is they are mostly over 100 years old and will not be in prefect shape. There can be scratches, dings and such, rust scaring and minor pitting. They all will have straight, sharp and very usable blades. They will cut well. I will try and list any faults but please look at the pictures well, I may not catch them all. Thank you for considering one of my saws.  Also, I have been restoring, sharpening, and making saws for a living for many years and have done it professionally for over 20 years.
