Pair of Vintage Natural GIANT CLAM SHELL SOAP / TRINKET DISHES  Real Shells - Aqua Blue Coloring - Jewelry Accents These two pieces are very unique as they were handcrafted and assembled by my great-aunt some time in the mid-1900's.  The shells appear to be real clam shells.   Each has been painted with a shiny aqua color finish , the larger one more aqua-bl ue  and the smaller one more aqua- green .  Each has four round "feet " added to sit evenly on a vanity or dresser top.  Could be used as a trinket dish , for potpourri , or to hold jewelry or whatever. The smaller shell has been accented with " diamonds and pearls" .  Just costume jewelry pieces like Rhinestones though, the center stone is 1/2 inch across so if it's a real diamond you'll be rich!   Check photos for some closeups.  Largest shell is about 8 1/2" x 6" at its widest points and sits about 3" high.  The smaller shell is about  5 1/2" x 4 1/2" at its widest points and sits about 2 1/4" high. There is some wear on both, some small chipping on the edges, a couple spots where the paint has worn off, and a small black spot on the smaller one where perhaps there was another pearl or stone.  Please review photos as all this should be easily spotted.   Thank you for reviewing this listing.
