Diamond Etched Engraving is also known as “Scratch Engraving” or “Diamond Drag Engraving.”  This is because during the engraving process, a diamond engraver drags across the surface of the object to produce the engraved design. Unlike laser engraving or sublimation, the surface of the material is carefully cut into the metal to reveal the underlying aluminum in the engraved pattern. This is by far the most durable engraving style and will never peel or fade like others sometimes do. Simply put, the design will last forever.   Does Diamond Etched engraving look different from other engraving methods? 1,000% YES! Diamond Etching is much more than just a smooth, flat design printed onto a sign. The image is cut into the metal in such a way that light reflects off of the design. We do everything we can to create a fast turnaround time but we can't make this happen without your help. We will send a proof of your design by Ebay message the next business morning after purchase.
