FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION: Antique/Vintage Christening & Baptismal Baby Gown Lot (3 Pieces) Era: Late Victorian to Early Edwardian (c. 1900s) Fabric is cotton, showing wear from age. This beautiful lot features three authentic antique infant gowns, each showcasing the delicate hand-sewing and intricate lace work characteristic of the turn of the century. These are true heirlooms, perfect for a vintage clothing collection, textile restoration, or as a stunning display in a shadow box. These were an Estate sale find their overall appearance and condition suggest to me that they are old, and are being sold "As-Is" with the following age-related wear: Fabric Integrity: There are a few small holes in the lace of the smallest gown (pictured on the far right). Additionally, there is two tiny holes on back shoulder of one of the larger pieces. See photos with wood pointer. Buttons: Some original buttons are missing and will need replacement for functional use. Foxing: You will find scattered foxing and age spots (light yellowing/browning) throughout the fabric, which is common for textiles of this age. Care: These have not been recently laundered to preserve their current state. They would benefit from a professional cleaning or a very gentle heirloom-safe soak, or display as-is at baby showers, or on antique dolls.
