This unique necklace is 17 3/4” long and weighs 58.4 grams. The beads are all genuine turquoise and high grade lapis lazuli. All of the silver in this necklace, other than the Milagro charms, is sterling silver. WONDERFUL southwestern designer sterling silver, alloy metal, genuine turquoise, lapis lazuli, Native American crafted bench bead, Navajo pendant and authentic vintage Milagro charm necklace. This unique necklace is 17 3/4” long and weighs 58.4 grams. It features genuine Native American, Navajo sterling silver bench beads and a wonderful vintage Navajo sterling silver stamp work concho style pendant. The beads are all genuine turquoise and high grade lapis lazuli. The charms are all authentic South American silver metal Milagro charms and represent an array of animal and other charms including a variety of birds, a horse, dog, mermaid, cherub, etc., all of which come from an extensive collection belonging to a long time collector of antique and vintage South American and Southwestern jewelry. All of the silver in this necklace, other than the Milagro charms, is sterling silver. The Milagro charms are all silver metal, but they do take a nice polish, so mesh well with sterling silver. The turquoise beads vary in size from 4 mm round beads to gorgeous 10 mm hand-carved melon beads. There are very high grade Afghanistani lapis lazuli rondelle and carved floral beads, along with large, Native American sterling silver bench beads and other sterling silver spacer beads throughout the necklace. This necklace is in new condition aside from the vintage Native American pendant and the vintage Milagro charms, all of which are in very good condition with no damage. This necklace is MUCH more lovely in reality than it appears in my photos and lays BEAUTIFULLY on the neckline. It is very comfortable and makes a real statement. Milagro charms (Milagro means “miracle” in Spanish) have been utilized for thousands of years, dating back to the early Iberians, who crafted these tiny charms in bronze, stone and clay, and which looked remarkably similar to today’s Milagros. Milagros are carried, attached to statues, crosses, etc. as a petition for healing, protection or to give thanks for prayers answered. They can be found in a number of shapes, from body parts, to many animals, etc. and can have a variety of meanings for the wearer/carrier. All of the silver in this necklace has been professionally tested as solid sterling silver.
