This lovely hand crafted ring is 15/16” long by 3/4” wide and weighs 4.6 grams. It is bezel set with a very pretty deep blue and green chrysocolla/malachite cabochon that was mined in Arizona. There is a mine in southern Arizona that features a blend of malachite, chrysocolla and shattuckite minerals which is where I believe this stone was mined. BEAUTIFUL vintage artisan signed ornate sterling silver and chrysocolla/malachite gemstone ring, size 6 1/4, sizable. This lovely hand crafted ring is 15/16” long by 3/4” wide and weighs 4.6 grams. It is bezel set with a very pretty deep blue and green chrysocolla/malachite cabochon that was mined in Arizona. This stone has a unique color pattern that blends the brilliant deep green of malachite and the very deep blues and greens of chrysocolla or, perhaps, shattuckite. There is a mine in southern Arizona that features a blend of malachite, chrysocolla and shattuckite minerals which is where I believe this stone was mined. I used bright light in my photos to show the color pattern of this wonderful cabochon. The setting is equally special with a sawtooth bezel, twisted rope detail framing the stone and a subtle feather design that curves up the left side-facing. This ring has a comfortable split and double shank and it can be sized, if needed. It is signed by the artisan with a spider mark and “Sterling”. This ring is in very good vintage condition with no damage other than, perhaps, very minor surface wear or minor oxidation. I was told that this ring was crafted somewhere between the 1970’s and the 1990’s. It has been professionally tested as solid sterling silver and the gemstone has been verified, as I have described it, by a certified gemologist.
