Vintage Expertic Erzgebirge Santa Smoker Incense Burner DDR Germany w/Orig Box Description Vintage Expertic Erzgebirgische Volkskunst Santa Claus Incense Smoker (Räuchermann) – Made in East Germany – Original Box Add an authentic piece of traditional German Christmas craftsmanship to your collection with this beautiful handcrafted Erzgebirgische Volkskunst (Ore Mountains Folk Art) Santa Claus incense smoker, expertly made by Expertic in the former German Democratic Republic (East Germany/DDR). This is an original vintage piece that I personally purchased in Germany many years ago. It has remained carefully stored in its original box and has never been displayed as part of my holiday décor. The smoker remains in mint condition and retains all of its original handcrafted details. Santa is beautifully hand carved and hand painted from solid wood with a warm natural finish. He carries a large toy sack over his shoulder with a wrapped present peeking out, holds a traditional pipe that releases incense smoke, and has a charming miniature toy soldier ornament hanging from his hand. The soft natural wood tones and hand-painted details make this a wonderful example of classic Erzgebirge craftsmanship. Designed as a traditional Räuchermann (incense smoker) , the body separates into two pieces to hold a standard German incense cone (not included). When lit, smoke exits through Santa's pipe, creating the classic Old World Christmas effect. The underside retains the original Erzgebirgische Volkskunst / Expertic label identifying it as being made in the German Democratic Republic , making it an authentic collectible from the pre-reunification era.
