Was presidium gem tested and tests positive for Nephrite Jade. Item also acid tests positive for sterling silver. This maker is listed on page 236 of Bille Hougart’s “The Little Book of Mexican Silver Trade and Hallmarks.” The eagle 1 marking and the circular marking, sterling grade (925), Taxco, and the three initials in the center dates the piece to between the late 1940s-1979, when Mexico went to registration numbers.
