I couldn't find much information on this Haas-Czjzek Checkered Dishware set. Haas-Czjzek Luncheon or Tea Set. Made in Czech Republic. The set is made from fine porcelain with distinctive black, white and red checkerboard (diamond) pattern. Beautiful Chrome or Platinum on all edges. CONDITION: EXCELLENT. Hand inspected each and every piece.  Not one flaw noticed other than some light handling or scuffing around the edges.  Looks like the set was never used.  Needs a quick wipe down and ready to go!  Description:  ***Set was purchased at a fancy estate sale in Florida*** WRITTEN ON THE SIDE OF THE CRUMBLING OLD BOX WAS  "The Ladies of NASCAR" and "Platinum Trimmed Edges".  I cannot verify either statement.  *46+ Pieces. (I counted each item as ONE PIECE) Even if comprised of multiple pieces!  For example, the 3 Tiered Serving Tray is comprised of Six (6) pieces, but I counted it as ONE.  I couldn't find much information on this Haas-Czjzek Checkered Dishware set.  The set is made from fine porcelain with distinctive black, white and red checkerboard (diamond) pattern. The trim is a beautiful metallic that I originally thought was chrome. Again, I just noticed the hand written note on the side of the old box that said "Platinum Trim On All Edges." All I know is that it was made sometime between 1990-2011 I'm not a collector of glass.  I use LENS & AI to research and identify my glass items.   Described as a "Checker Board" or "Harlequin Diamond Design".  UNABLE TO VERIFY IF THE TRIM IS ACTUALLY PLATINUM! The checkered design has a unique look to it.  Observations Worth A Mention: 1) The white porcelain is stunning, and the contrasting red & black design is very  reminiscent of Art Deco, as one site in Belgium had mentioned on a similar set. 2) I can't verify what kind of metal was used in the edge trim, but its stunning! The handwritten notation on the old packing box said  "PLATINUM TRIM ON ALL EDGES". Whatever it is, It looks beautiful, the trim just POPS!  I originally thought it was chrome, until seeing the notation. I tried multiple times to capture the glisten in the photos,  but the lighting just doesn't do it justice.  3) I hand inspected each piece.  Other being a  little dusty and or dirty, I couldn't find a single flaw except some minor scuffing on the bottom of the pieces where the bottom edge meets the table top.  Some light surface scuffing if I could find anything at all.  4) Strangely, the three tiered serving tray has GOLD TRIM, not SILVER TONE or CHROME/PLATINUM like the rest of the set.  Also, it is made from cheap plastic components, not metal.
