Item Description: Up for sale is a beautiful, authentic 1981 Vintage Artist Teddy Bear handcrafted by the artisan duo Bev and Lynda under their studio name, "Heirloom Bears." (Note that the tag has a name I can't make out on this bear). This bear is fully jointed with moveable arms and legs, featuring soft brown plush fur, felt paw pads, and its original multi-colored red plaid bandana/scarf. Provenance & Condition: This item comes from a unique, pristine background. It was originally purchased in 1981 with the intention of being inventory for a specialty teddy bear storefront that never opened. Because of this, it was immediately placed into proper home storage and has been safely tucked away for over 40 years. Overall Condition: Excellent/Like New vintage condition. Excellent fur density, secure eyes/nose stitching, and firm joints. It has never been played with or displayed. Tags: Comes with the original paper hang tag detailing its exact handwritten "birthdate" of August 28, 1981, along with a makers' names. The original fabric tag on the back is intact but is faded, though "HEIRLOOM BEARS" is legible and "1981" is barely legible. Measurements: Height: 11 inches (approx. 28 cm) standing. This is a wonderful, highly collectible piece of 1980s American teddy bear artistry with a lovely history. Comes from a clean, smoke-free home environment.
