A beautiful Wedgwood brooch depicting one of the Dancing Hours designed by John Flaxman in the late 18th century for Josiah Wedgwood. This was part of a series representing the hours of the day. This is set in sterling silver with the stamps used in England to identify silver. Based on what can be seen in the last photo this particular brooch was made in 1970 and with the Birmingham assay office. I did not clean the silver but will let the buyer determine if they want to clean it themselves. Please only use a silver polishing cloth on the silver to avoid damaging the cameo.
