The reverse of the pendant is clearly marked Double strand chip bead necklace. Signed MMA 1976. The item is in very good condition. This book is in very good condition for its age. This striking museum reproduction features a large sculptural gold-tone pendant suspended from a double strand of pale yellow gemstone chips, accented with cobalt blue glass beads and ribbed gold-tone spacer beads. The reverse of the pendant is clearly marked: MMA 1976 Produced by the Metropolitan Museum of Art as part of its collectible jewelry line inspired by ancient Egyptian art and artifacts. The chip beads appear to be citrine or citrine-colored quartz/glass. I have not had the stones professionally tested and they are being sold as unidentified.
