Beautiful vintage sterling silver statement necklace featuring a substantial pear-shaped gray chalcedony/agate cabochon with a smooth, high-polish surface and softly translucent smoky-gray appearance. The large stone is bezel set in a substantial 925 sterling silver pendant with an open-back construction and distinctive horizontal bar detail. An articulated bail adds movement and gives the piece a strong artisan, modernist character. The pendant is paired for this listing with a separately sourced 17" sterling silver chain. The chain is also marked 925 and features an intricate oxidized woven Bali-style design with decorative terminals and hook clasp. The chain is included with the pendant but is not original to it.
