An exquisite antique German locket featuring hand-painted pink roses and flowers over luminous pale aqua guilloché enamel. The finely engine-turned pattern beneath the translucent enamel creates a beautiful shimmering effect that changes as the light moves across the surface. Dating to approximately 1900–1920 , this petite photo locket reflects the elegant floral jewelry produced in Germany during the Art Nouveau/Jugendstil and early 20th-century period. The silver is marked 800 and GERMANY on the bail, indicating 800-fineness silver. Additional tiny marks are present but have not been conclusively identified, so the maker is unknown. The round hinged locket opens to hold a small photograph or keepsake. One interior glass/photo cover remains; the other is absent. Measurements: Approximately 1 1/8" in diameter, 1 1/2" long including the bail, and 1/4" thick. Condition: Very good antique condition with wear consistent with age. The floral enamel presents beautifully, with age-related wear visible upon close inspection. The silver has natural patina, surface wear and scratches. One interior glass/photo cover is present and the other is missing.
