An enchanting vintage SAJEN sterling silver Goddess pendant featuring a beautifully carved alabaster face accented by an impressive triangular green gemstone. The serene face is framed by ornate sterling silver scroll and spiral work, creating the distinctive sculptural look for which Sajen jewelry is known. Sajen jewelry was created by husband-and-wife designers Marianna and Richard Jacobs, whose designs were inspired by their time living in Bali beginning in the late 1980s. Marianna studied traditional Balinese silversmithing while working in a local silver factory. The name “Sajen” is the Balinese word for “offerings.” Their jewelry combines natural gemstones with elaborate silverwork and influences drawn from art, nature and spiritual traditions.  The pendant measures approximately 2 1/4" long and 1" wide and weighs approximately 14 grams. The back is stamped SAJEN 925 for sterling silver. The green gemstone has beautiful natural-looking variations of green and lighter coloring. Because the exact variety of the green stone has not been independently verified, it is being described simply as a green gemstone.
