HIghly detailed vintage Chinese export figurine featuring a pair of elegant Phoenix birds (Fenghuang) perched on a branching tree structure. This impressive mid-century statement piece measures approximately 8 inches tall inclusive of its custom-carved, dark-stained wooden display base. Craftsmanship: Features remarkable, intricate wire filigree work forming the feathers and scales, accented with vibrant blue and green cloisonné enamel on the crests and heads and feathers. The metal features an authentic, beautifully aged vintage patina from the gold-gilding process over a metal wire structure. Unmarked.  Not silver. I think brass or bronze. Condition: Overall: Excellent vintage display appeal. Both birds are completely secure and tightly attached to the original wooden branch stand. Note: There is a minor, localized separation where the fine filigree mesh has detached from the right-side wire frame on the farthest left tail feather , front view. The wire naturally rests perfectly in place as if intact, making it unnoticeable when on display. Untouched and unglued to preserve vintage integrity. Surface: Untouched authentic patina. It' a soft silvery gold.
