Based on its construction and early Coach serial/creed style, this bag appears consistent with early-1980s Coach production. Beautiful vintage Coach crossbody crafted in the United States from Coach's classic full-grain glove-tanned cowhide leather. This is an early Coach design featuring a wonderfully simple construction: a permanently attached leather shoulder/crossbody strap with no buckle, adjustment holes or clips, a rounded flap, and classic solid-brass turnlock closure. The interior is the traditional unlined suede reverse of the leather and features an interior zippered pocket. The Coach creed is stamped inside and reads Made in the United States, serial No. 0554-345. Approximate measurements: 10" wide × 7" tall × 2.5" deep. Beautiful rich red leather with attractive vintage character. The bag shows normal age-related surface marks, light creasing and wear consistent with a genuine vintage leather bag. Brass hardware shows natural patina. Please review all photographs closely as they are part of the condition description. The original removable Coach leather hang tag is not present. Based on its construction and early Coach serial/creed style, this bag appears consistent with early-1980s Coach production. Because pre-1994 Coach serial numbers do not function like later style-number serials, I have intentionally not assigned an unverified model name to this bag.
