Beautiful set of three Villeroy & Boch French Garden Valence dinner plates featuring the warm, cheerful French-country styling that makes this collection so appealing. Each plate features a central botanical apple design with red apples, apple blossoms and soft green foliage, identified with the botanical name “Malus sylvestris.” A mint-green band with a black leafy vine surrounds the center, while the wide sunny-yellow border and layered green scalloped rim complete the design. These approximately 10.25” dinner plates are wonderful for adding to an existing French Garden Valence service or replacing missing pieces. Their yellow, green and apple-red palette also makes them particularly attractive for spring, summer and farmhouse-style table settings. The underside of each plate is marked Villeroy & Boch 1748, French Garden Valence, Made in Germany, Vitro-Porcelain. CONDITION Very good pre-owned condition with no cracks, chips or crazing. All three plates show utensil marks/surface scratches from normal previous use. As shown in the close-up photographs, the marks are most noticeable when the plates are viewed under direct lighting. The decoration remains bright and attractive, with no significant condition issues noted beyond the normal utensil wear.
