These uniquely designed earrings were handmade from A to Z during the very decorative, Art Nouveau era. Large, shell-shaped earrings were hand-cast and 2 thick pieces of gold were hand-cut and hand-soldered to the bottom to reinforce the earring and also provide a smooth surface that won't scratch the skin. Thick, strong non-pierced screwbacks were custom-made for the shells, so they are the perfect size and fit. Finally, the shells were hand-polished to a bright mirror finish, so they sparkle and shine in any lighting and a high-lustrous 2mm white freshwater cultured seed pearl, with a high-reflective surface was handset.
