You're buying the Stanley plane frog shown in the photos. The Frog DOES NOT have the characteristics of a type 18 with diagonal KNURLING on the adjusting wheel. The frog is exceptionally clean and in excellent working condition in all aspects. You're buying the Stanley plane frog shown in the photos. This frog is from a later vintage plane, likely type 16 or 17 and should fit types 16 through 20.  The Frog DOES NOT have the characteristics of a type 18 with diagonal KNURLING on the adjusting wheel. The Frog measures SLIGHTLY UNDER 1-3/4" in width. The frog is exceptionally clean and in excellent working condition in all aspects. As can be seen in the photographs much of the original black japaning is still present. The blade adjusting wheel is brass and is the larger 1.25". The lever cap retaining screw and blade adjusting wheel may be removed and placed in package for facilitation of shipping. Condition: Used.
