This type Stanley plane was also the last version with the two piece lateral adjuster and Rosewood handles. You're buying the Stanley plane  frog shown in the photos. This frog measures approximately 2" in width, and should fit Stanley planes # 4-5 of the later types 16 through 20. This frog is of the type 19 and exhibits the Stanley imprint written vertically on the lateral adjuster.  Type studies indicate that this is the only version of the Stanley plane with this configuration. This type Stanley plane was also the last version with the two piece lateral adjuster and Rosewood handles. This frog is in excellent condition, retaining most of its original japaning, as shown in the photos, and has been carefully gone over and cleaned. Condition: Used.
